Don’t post content for the purpose of promoting or inciting the hatred of, or dehumanizing, individuals or groups based on race, ethnic or national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, age, veteran status, sexual orientation, disability or disease. Hate Speech: Don’t encourage violence or hatred. When it comes to hate speech, we’re redrawing the line between what’s uncomfortable and what’s unacceptable, and have struck 41 words of gray area from this section in the Community Guidelines. Updating our Community Guidelines and internal procedures is necessary to address a very real threat to members of the Tumblr community. We believe in a free and open internet but we can’t ignore that the internet is being exploited by hate groups to organize, recruit, and radicalize with horrifying efficiency. And it’s on all of us to create a safe, constructive, and empowering environment where you can continue to do that. You can jump from things you love into things you didn’t even know existed. Over time a knot of diverse, kinetic, passionate communities sprang up. We’ve been thinking about that a lot recently-the kind of place we want Tumblr to be, and our responsibility to you here and out in the world.Īt its core, Tumblr is a place to express yourself and connect with others who share your interests. The ability to take one person’s idea, build on it, and share it as something new transformed Tumblr from a simple blogging site into a place where people were talking, exploring, learning, and growing through reblog chains. It was a little more than 10 years ago that we introduced the humble reblog, not knowing how much it would change the growing Tumblr community. Vivid writing, clever and original plots, and stylistic or structural experimentation are particularly welcome. Whether they find pleasure through BDSM, fetish, or vanilla encounters in long-term romances or one-night stands with one person, a roomful of people, or just themselves, it’s all good. We’re thrilled to work with writers from around the world at any stage of their careers, including those who have never been published before.įor our calls, we seek erotic fiction in any genre, featuring characters of any and every orientation and gender, so long as they’re 18+ and express their consent to all erotic activities. Writers of color, trans and nonbinary writers, disabled writers, working-class writers, and writers of other marginalized and underrepresented identities are warmly encouraged to submit. *At the same time, we’re often delighted to discover completely new ideas in our submissions, and we actively want to expand the range of identities and perspectives we publish with each book. Reading posts on this blog and checking out the awesome stories we’ve released in previous collections can give you a feeling for what we publish* - not to mention spark some thoughts and pleasure to pass the time as you wait for our next call.
